It’s November which officially is Thanksgiving month. All month long cooks, hostesses, and turkey lovers will be busy gathering supplies and seriously perfecting menus for the fourth Thursday of the month–Thanksgiving! While cooking Thanksgiving dinner is no easy matter you can’t focus all of your creative attention on the main dish (and side dishes) to the point where you forget about the table settings and fixings.
Below, we are sharing a roundup (of sorts) to fix your table so it’s good and ready for Turkey Day. Thankfully!
What’s a millennial Thanksgiving? Basically, it’s stepping away from traditional table decor and opting for bright colors, pom-pom embellishments, metallic blow up letter balloons (spelling ‘Thankful’ or ‘Turkey Time’). It’s fresh. Modern. And fun! (via Brit + Co)
Who wouldn’t want to attend a hipster Thanksgiving? Aside from the creative and, no doubt, sustainably healthy food pairings, the decor is bound to be super cool. For instance, a brightly decorated table with a simple Thanksgiving banner is an understated form of ‘cool.’ (via A Beautiful Mess)
Hosting a Friends’ Giving isn’t anything new, but adding a colorful twist and making the party 100% Instagram-able give it a fresh twist. Everything from unexpected neon-pastel color combos to blow up turkey legs makes this a party we all wanna go to! (via Aww. Sam)
If you’re a traditionalist at heart, going with a gathering of gourds, mums, and DIY ‘thankful’ wreaths is your best bet. Touches of golds with a pop of navy here and there will add an unexpected touch. (via The Yellow Spectacles Blog)
It’s official, last month on September 22nd we entered the ‘fall equinox.’ So, what does this mean? Does this imply tartan OOTDs, PSL filled coffee cups on auto-refill, and apple picking adventures anytime we can escape the office? Theoretically, yes, but it’s hard to ‘fall’ all the time–especially when it’s still a bit toasty throughout the country.
However, on the days when we can fully embrace fall, these are a few of our favorite things (both to wear and do).
Whether you are following your favorite bloggers on Instagram and watching their fall apple picking escapades or doing your own–we love apple picking. Once you’ve picked a selection of apples what to make with them? This all-American apple pie recipe from Taste of Home is a favorite of ours. Or you can get creative and make your own apple chips–here’s a good recipe!
It isn’t autumn without a few fall decorations. Whether you are hitting the big box stores or want to make your own, it’s something you need to add to your fall to-do list! We love this Halloween pumpkin pattern DIY.
We’re all about knee-high riding boots and warm cozy cardigans this time of year. Aside from the foliage, the fashion for fall is a favorite. Visit our online shop to stock up on all of our fall essentials.
Pumpkin spice gets all the attention this time of year. However, there are other fall drinks we enjoy too. Ever make your own mulled cider? It’s delicious. Also, this Food Network recipe for a hot caramel spice latte is to die for! Try it!
If you’re lucky enough to live in a climate where you experience seasons–embrace it! Certainly, now is not the time to take it for granted (that’s what winter is for). Grab a friend or your dog to explore all the color changing leaves right now. Hurry they won’t be this beautiful for long.
Be sure to follow us on Twitter to stay in-the fall-trending scoop! Happy Fall All!
Fall is (possibly) the best season for fashion and wardrobe re-inventing. After all, it’s a time to pull out your favorite cozy closet staples and buy a few new pieces to mix in.
Here at Niirva, we’re all about BOHO glamour and fun music festival vibes, but agree that it’s always fun to transition with the seasons.
This fall, we are loving faux and natural suede, soft leather, fringe, a pop of unexpected color (like darker yellows), and boho accessories. Anything from wide brim felt hats to ankle booties are on our radar.
In our Niirva shop, we have items you can add to your fall attire too. Here are a few fall goodies to try on and take home aka our Fall Must-Haves.
Basically, scarves are the cold season’s accessory that never phases out. You can’t go wrong with a warm classic gray scarf this season.
Rich and warm yellow hues are an unexpected way to add a bit of a fall glow to your OOTD. This golden yellow Surya necklace will do the trick!
You can’t completely leave florals behind once fall arrives. Just a simple flower design on a gold metal cuff will be just enough for the cooler months ahead.

Girls just wanna have sun–make that fun too! Did you know that August 1st is National Girlfriends Day? While the official day may only be that–one day, we’d like to think you can celebrate ‘with the girls’ all month long. Why not plan a last minute/end of summer girls trip? Of course, we picked tropical and nature-focused destinations for any personality type. Aside from the travel hype, we have a few essentials from our shop to share with you….keep on reading.
Make next Monday a beach day with you and your besties. According to Travel + Leisure, Honolulu is number 4 on their best gal pal travel retreats. Why yes, it is true, the waves look beautiful day and night. However, it’s a great escape for those who enjoy beach yoga and seek a vibrant night life!
Want to escape with your pals and clear your chakra? Head to the mountains in North Carolina. Go for a boho woodland Southern Appalachian Mountain experience while lodging at the Old Ewards Inn and Spa. In fact, it was a recommend girl’s retreat by Southern Living. Everything from fitness, outdoor activities, spa time, and tasty meals are waiting for you and your squad.
Got a lot of worries? No worries, the beach, and a salty rim margarita can fix that. Islamorada Florida (in the Florida Keys) was a recommended destination by Country Living. Cocktails aside, snorkeling, ‘back-country’ surfing, adults only pools, spa time, and tons of beach time is calling.
Of course, you can’t travel without a few fun accessories. You’ll want to visit our shop to see our bangle assortment. You know, there is not a more perfect accessory to bring on vacay other than a bangle. As for those mid-afternoon brunch happenings and evening strolls, you’ll need something to tote your belongings in. Naturally, a bit of flash is needed as you’re on vacation! We think our gold Potli Purse will do the trick!
Speaking of sparkle, our sequin crop tops just might be something to pack for any spur of the moment dance parties!
Remember, tan lines equal good times…happy summering!
Home Interior Designer, Jonathan Adler once said, “There’s no right answer except to play and experiment.” With summer finally here the same thought process can be applied to our summertime wardrobes.
Whether you’re on summer vacay, a fashion blogger, or someone who’s looking for a fun way to add a little of color into their day to day–now’s the time to do so!
Instead of buying a completely new wardrobe adding a few touches such as pom-poms and tassels is one affordable way to incorporate summer trends into your closet.
Aside from the few vibrant picks above, we are currently closet craving:
- These Rebecca Minkoff Colorful beaded pom-pom earrings.
- Niirva’s nautical threaded necklace.
- Kate Spade’s tassel sandals.
- Kayu tassel/straw beach tote.

While there’s an endless retail selection of colorful summertime accessories out there you can also DIY yourself something chic too. Are you handy with the glue gun? If so, we’re loving this tassel earring DIY from Brit + Co. Also, this DIY tassel dress from A Beautiful Mess is no stress!
So, what’d you think? Are you ready to take your summer wardrobe to a new colorful level? If so, tweet us and us hashtag #InspiredStyle.
Alas, it’s finally feeling like summer as the rainy spring days melt into warmer sunnier ones ahead. Summertime may be the best time to show your bohemian style. Luckily, there are new trends on the horizon that incorporate the typical ”flower child” boho look, but with a fresh new spin. Embroidered flowers, hearts, skulls, and patchwork designs are all the rage this season. In fact, WWD is predicting that the embroidered style concept will flow well into the fall.
Of course, we have a few items to stock your closets with various embroidered bags as well as ones embellished with delicate beading. It’s summer, so of course, you’ll want to keep it light and bright.
Our beaded Jacquard clutch purse will easily transition your daytime look into a stylish nighttime one.
Who can guess the most popular pose at this year’s Coachella? If you don’t know, it was posed with arms raised overhead. Obviously, you’ll look like a boho babe in the same pose only with the extra help from these threaded beaded bangles.
Possibly, our ULTIMATE embroidered bag, the Kutch bag. As it comes in various colors/patch works–if you buy one threaded item this season this guy is the one.
& In case you’re curious a few May music festivals going on this month are:

- TRASHed Art of Recycling 2017: Artists (that means you too) submit their photos of how they turned plain trash cans into cool artwork. The best of the bunch will be on display at Coachella 2017 for all to marvel. Of course, with the full purpose behind the trash can art being recycling is hip.
- Signs: Coachella also has a unique thing going on with their signs. This year, they have switched to wood signs. To view, a small gallery read here. The idea is in an effort to be more eco-friendly with the help from sign creators, Prints on Wood–who also plant a tree for every sign that gets ordered. Cool right?
So, Coachella sounds pretty amazing right?! If you’re not lucky enough to be attending this year–there is always next. Follow them on the ‘gram @coachella.
As for us, we’re dressed for the occasion. Be sure to check out our shop for pretty bangles and all your boho basics.
In the meantime, we’ll be desert dreaming. #InspiredStyle

It’s spring break March Madness!
Everyone is still in love with pom-pom and off the shoulder style tops. After all, they’re so fun it’s easy to see why. This particular Alexa cold shoulder top would be a great spring break addition. You can dress it up for a beach view dinner or dress it down for an afternoon of sightseeing and selfie taking.

Naturally, you’ll find yourself in the sun on your spring break retreat. Be sure you pack a pair (maybe two) of fun sunglasses that will take your #ootd from day to night.
Be Our BOHO Galentine.

Galentine’s Day is celebrated February 13th as it’s a day to spoil your besties and hopefully, in return, they’ll spoil you too.

Flower crowns aren’t only a summer fashion statement but they are a perfect craft and/or gift for your bestie on Galentine’sDay too. Take a peek at our last year’s post on how-to create your own flower crown.
DIY Essential Oils.
Essential oils are having a moment–they really are a hidden lifestyle accessory. Aside from just smelling lovely, wearing various essential oil fragrances can help boost your mood, relieve headaches, aid in sleep, and help with your overall relaxation. We love the idea of DIYing your own oils to gift to your girls as a Galentine gift. In fact, The Glitter Guide has a pretty how-to.
Balloons are the perfect party decoration as well as a backdrop for any social media post. If you are throwing a Galentine’s Day bash you may want to read this fun DIY on Studio DIY that offers fun #girlpower phrases you can print on your balloons.

Happy Galentine’s Day!
Can you believe that the old year, 2016 has left us and in its place is a New Year glittering with delight and new possibilities? After all, that’s what the start of a New Year offers each year. Aside from resolutions, fresh starts, and hopeful prospects–the New Year also rushes in a new color crush a la Pantone. The anticipated Pantone color of the year 2017 is Greenery (15-0343).
Greenery is the perfect blend of crisp freshness and a much-needed invigoration to begin a New Year.
The color green can symbolize harmony, wealthy, rejuvenation, as well as be an overall eye-catching color. Surely fashion houses, interior designers, and bloggers alike will incorporate the new Greenery color into their perfected crafts.
We here at NIIRVA have a few fun (unexpected) ways that you too can incorporate Greenery (or just green altogether) into your 2017. Happy New Year!

Surely, your post-holiday diet could use a bit of green and lightness. Did you imagine that you can incorporate green into your diet too and not just your design aesthetic? Try blending a fresh kale-apple smoothie–we love this recipe here for a light right start to 2017.
Since Pantone comes out with a new hue each year, it doesn’t make sense to re-do your entire home in the New Year color. Instead, adding small pops of this year’s color around your home is more reasonable. Plus, affordable to your New Year wallet! The easiest way to add some Pantone splash around your living quarters is with pillows. We found this banana leaf print pillow from an Etsy shop, Pillomatic.
Quick Green Manicure
Another easy (and yes, breezy) way to add a bit of green to your daily living is which a quick green manicure. We’re not talking that crazy succulent manicure that was going viral online the last few months, but a pretty green nail color. Add in a bit of glitter for a fun effect to brighten up the dreary winter days ahead.
Of course, we have some green too! A pretty green earring to punch up your winter black OOTD is a welcomed New Year staple. So, are you into the new Pantone color? Tweet us @shopniirva or find us on Facebook and let us know!
